    FAQ

    1) What is a pre-existing condition?

A personal illness or health condition that was already known before the policy was taken out.
In health and life insurance contracts, the customer’s pre-existing medical conditions are often identified before the policy is taken out and are usually only covered after a certain period of time.
In some cases, pre-existing medical conditions are not covered at all.

    2) What is “direct billing”?

This means that you can receive treatment at any of the hospitals and clinics in our network in Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia (approximately 340 locations) without having to pay a bill beforehand.
The company will then bill you for the costs according to the applicable benefit levels and insurance conditions.

If the patient was not treated at a network hospital or clinic, the incurred costs will be reimbursed if the patient submits a complete set of documentation.
In this case, the incurred claims costs must be paid first, then reimbursed.

    3) Why health insurance?

Here in Thailand and elsewhere, healthcare costs are rising at an alarming rate, and many people lack the financial means to pay serious medical bills such as cancer, heart attacks, and strokes, which can amount to millions of baht.
Health insurance offers financial protection, but the scope of benefits chosen affects the level of support provided.

In the past, most expatriates often had the option of returning to their home country for treatment in the event of a serious illness. However, this option may no longer be available due to changes in legislation by many governments.

International health insurance can provide access to top-notch hospitals abroad and allow repatriation to the home country for treatment. It also ensures coverage for unforeseeable accidents.
Health insurance is essential for peace of mind.

    4) How can I lower my health insurance premiums?

Accept an annual deductible, be prepared to pay medical expenses out of pocket, and exclude outpatient services.
When applying for insurance benefits, check that the costs for hospital stays and outpatient treatments are accurate.

    5) Can I go to a drugstore or pharmacy for common complaints like headaches or stomachaches?

Yes. To apply, you must provide a receipt from a registered pharmacy.
The receipt must include the pharmacy’s address, tax identification number, the pharmacist’s name and registration number, and the name and details (including the quantity) of the prescription drugs purchased.
